Good Morning Families!
Sorry this update is coming to you later than usual, I was experiencing some technical difficulties that thankfully are back in action! Can you believe how fast the weather changed? Luckily I hear warmer days are in our future but this winter-like weather is a good reminder to please send your child to school with warm outdoor gear everyday. We try to get outside twice a day (weather permitting). Yesterday we talked as a class about being responsible for our winter gear and one way you could help out at home is by labeling EVERYTHING! Hats and gloves especially since those always seem to be the first to go missing :) Here is a peak at our week! Language Arts: We are practicing retelling what we read using transitional words like first, next, then last. Math: Still practicing multiplication. I have been VERY impressed with the amount of time students are working on their multiplication skills outside of school on iXL! Writing: Zooming in on small moments of memorable events. Practicing going deeper with personal narratives instead of wider. Science: NEW SCIENCE UNIT! Starting yesterday our class will be seeing Ms. Eichhorn (eye-corn) and learning about the moon! Coming UP! Festival of Nations: Monday, Nov. 19th This is a fun night to experience all the beautiful cultures and traditions that make up Wilshire Park NO SCHOOL- Thursday, Nov. 22nd and Friday, Nov. 23rd Have a fabulous week!
